Comparison

tRadar vs 0R-Police Radar v2

Two different approaches to speed enforcement. 0R-Police Radar v2 pairs a radar interface with automatic plate owner lookups and fixed speed cameras that fine drivers. tRadar is a single dash-mounted patrol radar that an officer aims, reads and decides on. Every row is sourced from each product's public pages.

When 0R-Police Radar v2 may fit better

  • You want fixed speed cameras that fine drivers automatically.
  • You want plate reads to pull up the owner from your framework without a separate CAD.
  • You want a fully open-source version you can modify.
  • Your server runs ESX, QBCore or Qbox and you want a radar built around those frameworks.

Common questions

Does tRadar have speed cameras or automatic fines?
No, on purpose. tRadar is a patrol radar an officer aims, reads and decides on. It isn't an automated enforcement system.
Why does tRadar sometimes read the wrong speed?
On purpose. In moving mode, a large vehicle ahead can drag the patrol reading, the way it does on a real unit, and the patrol window shows it happening. It ships on because learning to catch it is part of using the radar. Set Config.patrolShadowPull = 0 to turn it off.
Do I need a framework?
No. tRadar runs standalone with no database. A framework or inventory is only used if you choose to limit access by job or item.
Is the plate reader a BOLO system?
It shows and locks plates. It flags a plate only when your CAD or the built-in BOLO list says to, and it never shows "clear", because no answer isn't the same as a clean plate.
tRadar is in beta. What does that mean?
It's in use and it works, but the feature set is still changing between releases. Updates are included for as long as the product is offered.
