Description
tChirp reproduces one small piece of real patrol car behaviour. When a siren is park killed — silenced automatically because the car was put in park while still in pursuit mode — tChirp chirps that car at a randomised interval until somebody gets back in the front seat.
It is a reminder, not a siren controller: tChirp never turns a siren on or off. It watches whichever ELS your server already runs, notices that a siren was live when the officer left, and chirps the car they left.

Highlights
- Reads the ELS you already have — tELS, Luxart Vehicle Control, LVC Fleet, ELS-FiveM, JLS and Advanced Lighting System, cascaded in that order, or the plain GTA siren if you run none of them
- Nothing to operate — no keybind, no menu, no command an officer uses. The behaviour is the product
- Runs with zero edits — every one of the eight options ships with a default, and a key you delete comes back as the value that shipped
- The front seat is the rule, both ways — leaving a front seat with the siren on arms the chirp; taking a front seat clears it immediately, for everyone
- Per-model sounds — a vehicle chirps the native sound you assign it, or a soundset from a resource you already have. A model you do not list never chirps
- Free, and readable — MIT licensed, every file in the download editable, no encrypted file and no escrow. There is no public repository; the source is the resource you install
What it is not
- Not an ELS. It adds no lighting, no siren control and no tones of its own. It needs an existing siren system, or the plain GTA siren.
- Not a siren tone library. The sounds are native GTA sound names, or a soundset from a resource you already have.
- Not a per-player sound. The chirp is played from the vehicle with
PlaySoundFromEntity, so every client near the car plays it positionally and it gets quieter as you walk away. - Not usable without tLib. tLib is free, and tChirp refuses to start below the version it declares rather than failing halfway down a file.
How it decides
Three things have to be true at the moment a player leaves a vehicle: they were in a front seat, the vehicle's siren was on as of the last check before they left, and the vehicle's model is one you assigned a sound to. Then the car goes on the chirp list.
The siren is sampled every 500 ms while you are seated and the exit is decided against the previous sample, because killing the siren is part of a park kill — by the time the player is out of the seat every provider correctly reports the siren as off, so a check taken at that moment would return false every single time and nothing would ever chirp.
Each chirp draws a fresh interval and a fresh duration from the configured ranges, so a row of parked cars does not fall into step.

Getting it running
Three steps, and none of them is a purchase.

tChirpinto your resources folder, next totLib. The folder must be named exactlytChirp— its exports are published asexports.tChirpand a FiveM resource is addressed by its folder name. ensure tChirpaftertLib.- Assign a sound to the vehicle models your department actually runs. It ships with the eight base-game police models, which is a starting point rather than your fleet.
Nothing else is configured. Config.sirenSystem defaults to auto, which cascades through every provider — pin it to one only if you run exactly one ELS and want a wrong answer to be loud.
Yes. MIT licensed, the full source in the download, nothing escrowed and nothing granted in your Keymaster, because there is no asset to grant.
No. It reads six siren systems and falls back to the plain GTA siren, so it works on a server with no ELS at all. Only tELS and JLS are read through an export and therefore need a folder name in the config; the other four are detected from events, which arrive under their own names however the sending resource is renamed.
Never. It plays a chirp from the vehicle and nothing else. Whatever owns the siren keeps owning it.
Only the models you assign a sound to — that assignment is the on/off switch. Deleting a model's entry stops it chirping.
Yes. Every option was renamed in 1.1.0 to carry its unit, and tLib's config validator copies each old value onto its new name, uses it, and prints one line per rename naming the replacement. Nothing resets to a default.
