When Zerio Radio may fit better
- You want a lower-cost radio, and a full P25 system is more than your server needs.
- You want in-radio messaging and contacts.
- You want an anonymous mode for undercover roles.
- You want to keep using your existing voice script's radio channels as a drop-in.
- You don't need P25 audio, towers, trunking, or a dispatch console.
Common questions
- Why does Tommy's Radio cost more?
- It's a different kind of product. Tommy's Radio runs its own voice server with a P25 vocoder, and includes trunking, towers, codeplugs, a dispatch panel, 911 calls and CAD integration. It's built for servers that run police, fire and EMS radio as a full system.
- Does Tommy's Radio replace pma-voice?
- No. It runs alongside pma-voice or Mumble, which keep handling proximity voice. Radio traffic goes through Tommy's Radio's own voice server.
- Can civilians and gangs use Tommy's Radio?
- Yes. Codeplugs can be granted by any job or gang, Discord role, ACE permission, inventory item, or open to everyone.
- Can I try it before buying?
- Yes. A live demo server, dispatch panel and admin panel are open now with no purchase. See the docs.
