Description

tDB is a drop-in replacement for oxmysql. It answers every oxmysql export with the same return values, translates MySQL SQL to SQLite as it goes, and runs an embedded PocketBase underneath. There is no MySQL server to install, no connection string to configure, and nothing to keep running alongside your server.

Existing scripts do not change. exports.oxmysql:single_async(...) keeps working, because tDB declares provide 'oxmysql' and resolves those calls itself.

Highlights

  • Drop-in for oxmysql — the same exports and the same return values, so existing resources need no edits
  • No MySQL to run — an embedded PocketBase replaces the database server entirely, and provisions itself on first start
  • MySQL SQL translated to SQLite — handled by the Polyglot SQL transpiler; what cannot be translated is refused by name rather than quietly changed
  • Import existing .sql dumps — load a script's MySQL dump without ever standing up a MySQL server
  • More than SQL when you want it — PocketBase collections, realtime subscriptions, file storage and an admin UI are all there underneath
  • Open source — MIT licensed with the full source in the repository

What it is not

  • Not a MySQL server. SQL is translated to SQLite. Most of what FiveM scripts write translates cleanly; the rest is refused rather than silently altered.
  • Not a drop-in for a database you already have data in. tDB starts empty — moving an existing MySQL database across is a migration, not a swap.
  • Not something to run next to oxmysql. Two resources answering the same export name is ambiguous, and they point at two different databases.

Requirements

  • tLib v1.0 or later — tDB declares tlib_min_version '1.0' and will not start without it
  • Windows or Linux, x86-64 — the bundled PocketBase builds are windows_amd64 and linux_amd64; there is no ARM build
  • A FiveM artifact new enough to provide Node 22, which the manifest declares as node_version '22'
  • No framework required, and OneSync is not required
