Only used by "Go To Pattern", and it has to be typed rather than picked:
pattern names are written by whoever built the vehicle, so there is no fixed
list and every car can name them differently. Get the exact spelling off a
"Next Pattern" key — step through the patterns and copy the name it
shows. Matching is exact, capitals and spaces included. If the pattern you
typed is not on the car you are in, the key says "not on this vehicle" rather
than going quiet.
